 What a trip—literally and figuratively! I usually handle all the planning myself, so it was such a treat to simply show up and have everything perfectly organized. I don’t think it would be possible to see more of Morocco in just two weeks! I was so impressed by the amount of research and care Kristen put into crafting this experience. Combine that with traveling alongside other like-minded FI folks, and you truly get something magical. Everyone became fast friends, and there was rarely a quiet moment in the van as we shared our journeys—both pre- and post-FI. Long story short: 5 stars, 10 out of 10. I highly recommend Kristen and will definitely be joining her again for another amazing adventure!

  If someone told me I'd spend a week gallivanting across Portugal with a group of total strangers, willingly walking thousands of steps a day, and experiencing a blackout that wasn’t due to wine… I’d say, sign me up twice. Fi Friends travel was an epic adventure.  Kristen went above and beyond from the initial planning, scheduling amazing tours, detailing expenditures and even navigating a blackout. Her love of travel and of the FI community was the glue that made this trip so special.  I started as a solo traveler and Kristen did an amazing job bringing the group together. I left with 13 new FI friends and memories of trying new experiences and new foods.  Our stays in Porto and Lisbon were filled with stunning views, history lessons, and free time to explore. 10/10 would do it all over again— I look forward to future FI Friends Travel adventures.

 I had the pleasure of joining Kristen's first trip, and it was memorable from the start. Even before I arrived in Portugal, the WhatsApp chat was invaluable; when my airline encountered mechanical issues, the group offered numerous helpful suggestions for handling the travel hiccups. The experience only improved when I finally met this wonderful group of like-minded people from the FIRE community. Everyone was so friendly, and we all took a once-in-a-lifetime European blackout in stride during the trip. Kristen was an exceptional leader and planner.

With our local guide, Hassan, and Kristen’s thoughtful planning, we explored so much of the country with minimal stress. FI Friends Travel offered unique experiences we wouldn’t have accessed on our own, and our fellow travelers became instant friends on this shared adventure.  Morocco was an amazing experience. The trip was organized perfectly.  The "comfort level" was so nice.  The group of FI-ers was SO awesome. The group was tight within a couple days.  I really enjoyed this group tour to Morocco. It was my first time on an organized tour. I liked how all the details were thought of in advance and that I did not need to plan them. The experience was enhanced by traveling with like-minded people who shared similar values around intentional living and financial independence.   Our trip to Morocco was absolutely unforgettable — a perfect blend of adventure, culture, warmth, and friends. From wandering the colorful souks of Marrakech and savoring fragrant tagines to riding camels across the golden dunes of the Sahara, every moment felt like stepping into a dream. The people were incredibly welcoming, always eager to share their traditions and stories, and the landscapes were breathtaking — from the Atlas Mountains to the blue streets of Chefchaouen. Everything on our trip was taken care of for us with seamless transportation, beautiful lodging accommodations, and knowledgeable local tour guides made every stop meaningful, ensuring we experienced the heart of Morocco, not just its sights. It was truly the trip of a lifetime, and I can’t wait to go on the next FI Friends Travel trip!

 I attended Kristen's Morocco trip. It was INCREDIBLE! Kristen put together an excellent itinerary with varied activities. I got to do things I never would have done otherwise with people I have a lot in common with. Some highlights were riding camels in the Sahara desert and having tea in a nomadic tent! Kristen was such a wonderful trip leader. She is adventurous, friendly, and has such a positive attitude. If you're considering a trip with her, know that you'll be in good hands and have a great time.
